
Budapest, September 25, 2023 – Today, the Money Museum was recognized as a family-friendly museum and also received a special museum pedagogical award at the annual National Museum Education conference.
Starting today, the Money Museum can officially use the title of Family Friendly Museum
The Money Museum received the Family Friendly Museum award given by The Hungarian Open Air Museum & Museum Education and Methodology Centre in recognition of the fact that its services and programs are family-friendly and promote the quality time of families.
Special Award for Museum Education
The museum pedagogical activity called: ‘Royal farming in medieval Hungary’ won a special prize in the Museum Education Award of Excellence category. With the award, the Museum Education and Methodology Centre and the Pulszky Society acknowledged that during the sessions, primary students can learn about the importance of income and expenses in a playful manner, using the methods of drama pedagogy, while the upper grades can learn about the importance of income and expenses from the perspective of financial management, using their historical knowledge.
