October 6, 2023, Kecskemét – On the occasion of the 120th anniversary of János von Neumann's birth, nearly nine thousand participating high school and university students paid tribute to the work of the great mathematician. The winners of the competition launched by MNB-EduLab LTD. (MNB-EduLab), the Money Compass Foundation and the Pallas Athene Domus Meriti Foundation (PADME) were enriched with a number of valuable technical tools.
MNB-EduLab, the Money Compass Foundation and PADME launched a national competition called Neumann Next. The students participating in the game could expand their economic and financial knowledge on different topics each month, and they could also gain insight into the life of John von Neumann, who was born 120 years ago. Students who performed flawlessly in all rounds won the grand prizes.
In addition to receiving first prize in the "Higher education" category, the winner can also participate in the development of the Megalux solar car in cooperation between John von Neumann University and Sharjah Research Technology and Innovation Park as a special prize. Another special prize from the university is a Bloomberg Terminal training opportunity and obtaining the related certificate at the Campus Exchange Egg, as well as the participation in the workshop.
In total, more than 6,000 high school students and nearly 3,000 higher education students participated in the six-round competition. The main prizes in both high school and higher education categories were a MacBook Air, an Iphone 11, and an Apple Watch SE 2.
