The Family Friendly Hungarian Money Museum and Visitor Center has signed an agreement with the The National Association of Large Families. The first meeting with large families took place on 18 November.
This autumn, the Money Museum was awarded the Family Friendly Museum Award by the Hungarian Open Air Museum - Museum Education and Methodology Centre in recognition of its family-friendly services and programmes, and its contribution to quality family time.
This is supported by a recent collaboration between the Money Museum and the National Association of Large Families (NOE). The agreement focuses on promoting financial awareness, strengthening social cohesion and supporting large families, which are the cornerstone of society.
As a first step in the development of the professional relationship, on Saturday, the 18th of November 2023, the Hungarian Money Museum and Visitor Center hosted 35 families with three or more children, which equals 176 participants altogether.
The guided tours were led by well-trained colleagues. Families who wished to explore the exhibition together were guided with the help of a fun Adventure Guide. At the end of the exhibition, everyone could try to lift the 12.5 kg gold bar. Younger children could enjoy a variety of crafting activities. The children's corner in the lobby, called "A place for youngsters to return to", is a place for colouring, reading and dice games, not only on this special day but also on other days. At the end of the visit, no one left empty-handed, since the small gifts that were received and a banknote with their own portrait serve as a reminder of their adventures.
The visit on the 18th of November is scheduled to be followed by another on the 16th of December, when 60 more people from the association will visit the Money Museum.
