How to get to the Money Museum?
For those arriving by public transport
Take the bus (lines 5, 16, 16A, 21A, 21A , 22, 22A, 39, 91, 102, 116, 128, 129, 139, 140, 140A, 149, 155, 156, 222) to Széll Kálmán Square stop, then take a few minutes’ walk from there, through tunnel to the main entrance in Sándy Gyula Alley.
Take the tram (lines 4, 6, 17, 56, 56A, 59, 59A, 59B, 61) to Széll Kálmán Square stop, then take a few minutes’ walk from there, through the tunnel to the main entrance in Sándy Gyula Alley.
Take metro line M2 to Széll Kálmán Square station, then take a few minutes’ walk from there, through tunnel to the main entrance in Sándy Gyula Alley.
Take tram line 60 (Cogwheel Railway) to the Városmajor stop (final stop), then take a 20-minute walk from there, through Városmajor and Széll Kálmán Square to the main entrance in Sándy Gyula Alley.
Take a Volán bus lines via Budakeszi Road to Széll Kálmán Square, then take a few minutes’ walk from there, through the square to the main entrance in Sándy Gyula Alley.
The main entrance in Sándy Gyula Alley can be reached from Széll Kálmán Square by a few minutes’ walk through the tunnel or stairs.
For those arriving by train
from Déli railway station: 15minutes walk through Vérmező, or 1 stop by tram (lines 17, 56, 56A, 59, 59A, 59B, 61) or by bus (lines 21, 21A, 102, 139, 140, 140A) to Széll Kálmán Square, then take a few minutes’ walk from there, through tunnel to the main entrance in Sándy Gyula Alley.
from Nyugati railway station: take tram line 4 or 6 to the Széll Kálmán Square terminus, then take a few minutes’ walk from there, through tunnel to the main entrance in Sándy Gyula Alley.
from Keleti railway station: take metro line M2 to the Széll Kálmán square station, then take a few minutes’ walk from there, through tunnel to the main entrance in Sándy Gyula Alley.
For wheelchair users
The building is accessible in a wheelchair from the main entrance of the Money Museum as well as the entire visitor area.
Cloakroom
For coats, umbrellas, and bags, there are lockers on the basement level, which can be used with a HUF 100 or EUR 1 coin. Please ensure in advance that you have coins with you as we are not able to exchange money.

Visits are free of charge, but you must book online in advance!
Monday: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Tuesday: CLOSED
Wednesday: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Thursday: 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
