MNB
The activities of the Central Bank of Hungary, the founder of the Money Museum, are described on a separate sub-page. In addition to the legal status and history of the central bank, the introductory text also sheds light on its most important statutory tasks and functions.
About the building
The About section presents the history of the former Postal Palace, built between 1924 and 1926 based on the plans of Gyula Sándy. The building, which is a listed building, has been completely renovated inside and out by the Central Bank of Hungary - this section also gives an overview of the process, and the architectural curiosities related to the renovation.
Our collection
In the “Our Collection” section, visitors can view a short digital exhibition of emblematic banking history artefacts collected and preserved by the Money Museum.
Our partnerships
The secret to success is networking - we are deeply convinced of this, which is why at the Money Museum we place great emphasis on creating partnerships between institutions with similar goals and orientations. Visitors can find out about our current partnerships on a dedicated sub-page.
Contact
In the Contact section visitors can find all the information they need to contact the museum online and offline, as well as how to physically access the museum.
